Student Clubs

Student Clubs are one of the best ways to meet new people and the hangout with your friends at UVic. There are over 200 clubs registered with the UVSS (University of Victoria Student Society) and there is sure to be one for you! At the beginning of the fall and winter term there is an event called club days where you can meet all the different clubs and choose which suits you.

Petch fountain

The Petch Fountain is right outside the library and is a popular place to bask in the sun and hangout. It is a great place to spend a few minutes between classes or to spend an entire afternoon relaxing with a friend. Petch fountain on a sunny day

Felicita's Pub

Felicita's Pub also known as Fel's is the campus bar and is a great place to hangout with friends and to meet new people. The pub has weekly trivia and karaoke nights with lots of reasonably priced food to keep you coming back! Inside the bar: tables and a stage

Clearihue Building

Clearihue is a great place to study during the day and in the night. The building has couches on the first floor at the c wing and d wing entrances. The building has several computer labs that can be used when there is no instructional session taking place.

McPherson Library

The Library is a great place to study with a variety of spaces and resources to meet every students studying style. The building has four floors. The basement is a quiet floor with many desks and cubicles to work by yourself and they have gamer chairs and couches that students can use for a more relaxed studying regime. The first floor is not a quiet floor (good place to do group work), with lots of computers and desks (two monitors are great for writing papers).

McPherson Library

The Library is great place for students to take a break. The building has great internet, lots of computers, even PlayStation 4 that rented. In the basement they have nice reclining chairs that are a great place to take a nap or just take a little break between classes!
