Cadboro Bay is a popular outdoor space used by students and members of the community. It is a short ten minute walk from the UVic campus, just down Sinclair Rd. The sandy beach and views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and Olympic Peninsula are some of its many features. There is a playground and picnic area and a small shopping village adjacent to the beach. 

Finnerty Gardens is a beautiful oasis on the edge of campus. Is is a favorite outdoor space for students, staff, faculty and the community to reflect and be inspired. It is free and open to the public year-round. Known as one of UVic's hidden gems, this garden contains many species of flowers and plants, and also contains benches and ponds.

Mystic Vale is a protected natural area on campus. It has a network of beautiful walking trails that take you down into a canyon to mystic creek and up above looking down over the canyon.

Cadboro bay is a nice sandy beach that is about a ten minute walk from campus. It is a great place to unwind and relax after a long day of studying.
